This is one of my favorite portrait sessions of all-time. I've gotten into doing more commercial/editorial-style portrait photography (like these shoots with Jeffrey and Becca, and this bridal shoot), so I was excited for the opportunity to do a similarly-styled maternity shoot with Nicole. Fortunately for me, Nicole was just as excited. She absolutely owned this shoot. I asked for attitude, I got attitude. I asked for sexy, I got sexy.

Many thanks to Kirsten, our on-site hair and make-up artist, and to my beautiful wife Renee for schlepping around my camera bag all day.

Without further ado... here are a few of my favorites:

For photographers:

This shoot was done with my D3s and 105mm f/2.8 and 70-200mm f/2.8 lenses.

The daylight shots were done exclusively with natural light; the remaining photos were lit by my Einstein 640 v2 @ ~1/32 power with a white beauty dish and 30-degree grid, triggered by Pocketwizard FlexTT5/AC3 on-camera and PowerMC2 on-flash. This allows me to quickly and easily fine-tune the flash power right from my camera.
